United StatesI'm very happy with the item itself but I was a little disappointed with all the plastic wrapping around it. Every single piece of the bag was wrapped in plastic including the thin straps which were somehow wrapped around the buckles and nearly impossible to get off. The bag was then wrapped in tons of paper and then another bag and then the box. The plastic was totally unnecessary and in my opinion very wasteful.
Hi Nora! Thank you for the feedback! There's a balance that we try to strike between trying to protect the backpack on its way from the factory to us and then to you while not using too much packaging. The packaging attempts to keep moisture out of the bag, protect it from dust, make sure that parts of the bag don't press up and dent other parts of it, and make sure that the bag retains it shape. It's a lot! That all said, we agree with you and we're talking with our factories about reducing packaging. Thank you for your review. We'll work harder to reduce the waste!
