Why choose a ratchet belt?
Sometimes you're not quite a size 34 or 36. You're somewhere in the middle. Sometimes you're a 34 in the morning and a 36 after lunch... No more struggling with holes. We got you. With our collection of ratchet belts, you can be whatever size you want to be morning, day, and night. Most ratchet belt believers never want to wear a traditional belt again!
A ratchet belt is called a ratchet belt because of the ratcheting sound that it makes when it is used. The ratchet belt works with a wide metal tooth integrated within the buckle and a track close to the end of the belt. By sliding the strap through the buckle, the metal tooth comes into contact with the track and notches in. The tighter you pull the strap, the further the tooth will notch into the track. The belt is released by pulling forward on a lever at the bottom of the buckle or if there is no lever, by raising the buckle itself. If the belt is notched super tight, you may need to push the belt just a bit tighter while pulling the lever to release the buckle.
