Vegan Casual Belts
We usually need two types of belts. Something simple and classic for formal events and something for our jeans. We make our casual belts just a bit wider than our formal belts.

What to look for in a Casual Belt
We use many of the same standards in our casual belts as we do our formal belts. Solid, classic buckles paired with our first class microfiber vegan leather. Here are a few things specific to casual belts:

Width: Traditionally, we use a slightly wider buckle and strap for our casual belts. The width of the belt gives it a more relaxed, casual feel. While casual belts can be up to 1.75" wide, our casual belts are usually 1.5" wide to go with modern trends if slimmer attire. Our casual belts are just an 1/8" to 1/4" wider than our formal belts but this makes all the difference! With the movement towards slimmer clothing, some have opted for even slimmer belts. If you're in this camp, go for one of our dress belts where the buckle has a brushed or matte finish. These belts can more easily be dressed up or down.
- Style: While many of our casual belts are similar to our formal belts with just more width, we use a greater variety of materials and buckles in our casual belts.
- Strap Material: For our casual belts, we typically choose vegan leathers with different patterns, textures and grains. In 2023, we introduced belts made from kraft paper and in 2024, we plan to add more sustainable materials. These materials often have a more natural feel which is better suited to casual wear. On our list of materials is coconut leather and Pinatex. We also plan to use canvas.
- Buckles: Casual belts give us more freedom with size and shape.
- Stitching: While we haven't played with contrast stitching, we plan to release our first contrast stitching belts this year. We'll also feature belts that multiple lines of stitching.
- Weight: While our formal belts are thicker than most, we allow our casual belts to have more heft. While our belts aren't heavy, the heft gives them a more classic feel where companies took pride in making products that were made to last.
