Belts, like shoes, should conform to your body so that your body isn't forced to conform to the product. In our travels to factories, the artisans and sample masters who we spoke to related the importance of using materials that both last but which conform. Over the course of a day, your waistline will grow and shrink according to what you eat. Your belt should work with you. We specialize in traditional pin and hole buckle belts but also make ratchet belts for the modern gentleman.
What To Look for when choosing A Dress Belt
Material: We started the company using only the best vegan leather available. None of our products use PU. We use microfiber vegan leather for all of our products. Not only do we use vegan microfiber, we use the best of the best. Our founder has sourced material from all over the world for years before starting Doshi. We know material.
Buckle: Most companies use zinc alloy buckles. We started with zinc alloy but our newest buckles use stainless steel or brass as much as possible as these materials are higher end and look better longer. We have also started using PVD coating on all of our buckles. This results in a higher quality buckle that doesn't scratch or wear as easily. We're the first in the vegan space to be doing this.
Craftsmanship: Every belt is handmade by a set of artisans who specialize in each part of the production process including measuring and cutting material, aligning each layer, stitching, attaching the buckle, and oil painting the edges.
Design: Our dress belts are simple, sleek, and sophisticated. We design our belts so that you're ready when you walk into your first day of work, a boardroom, or your wedding.
Designer: Our dress belts are designed by our founder himself who spent first 17 years of his career suited and booted (wearing formal and semi-formal attire). *Paras was wearing slimmer, more fitted suits before they came into fashion.
