CanadaI've taken a very long time leaving a review because the result is so much like actual animal skin--leather--which I want no part of, that I could not believe it is not leather. But the founder has assured me it's really not, that it's microfibre. I've had my two belts 3 months or so now, wear one of them every day, and no sign of wear whatsoever.
Hi Murray! We were very entertained to find your email questioning whether or not our products really are vegan. We feel accomplished that we made a vegan leather so realistic it made you have doubts! We believe that our vegan leathers set the standard. No PU here. United StatesI ordered this belt in 2020 and it was great- the vegan leather was soft and easily pliable. I just reordered the same belt and the vegan leather is completely different- stiff and uncomfortable. I've tried wear it (thinking it might change with use, but to no avail). I know 3 years past, but I was expecting the premium quality I had before.
Hi Thomas! Thanks for your feedback. The belt that you have now is intentionally heavier and thicker. It's part of our effort to make our belts more luxurious and durable than any other vegan belt out there. We tested several materials and combinations to come up with what we believe to be the right mixture of weight, durability, softness, and flexibility. Yes, our new belts are thicker than our previous belts and that's because we are targeting them to last much longer and reduce stretch over time. (We don't think you'll find a vegan belt that feels better or lasts longer.) We urge you not to be disappointed and give the belt time to mold to your waist and give the belt time to break in and soften up a bit! Lastly, we really value your feedback and we'll explore making future versions just as durable and softer! We appreciate the feedback because we're trying to make the best products around. Note: We just went to Nordstrom on 7/14/23 to compare our belts vs. what they have in store. We feel that our newest belts feel better than anything they carry at ANY price point and some of those belts are more than two times the price.
